K2O-ZnO-Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2系掺Cr3+透明莫来石微晶玻璃的研究

采用了X射线衍射、透射电镜和吸收光谱及荧光光谱技术研究了K2O－ZnO-Al2O3-B2O3－SiO2系掺Cr^3 玻璃的析晶性能和光谱。研究结果表明：在K2O－Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2系掺Cr^3 玻璃的基础上引入ZnO后，析晶性能明显改善；析晶温度降低，析出的纳米莫来石微晶均匀、规则；微晶玻璃的发光强度明显增强。     

Domination of uniformly continuous semigroups

We prove that a bounded operator on a Banach lattice, satisfying a growth condition, is regular. Also, we prove that the generator of a C ₀-semigroup on such a lattice for which such an operator exists is bounded.     

Two-generator subgroups of soluble groups and their Fitting subgroups

For soluble groups, the Fitting length is bounded by a function of the maximum order of the Fitting subgroups of 2-generator subgroups.     

The six semifield planes associated with a semifield flock

In 1965 Knuth (J. Algebra 2 (1965) 182) noticed that a finite semifield was determined by a 3-cube array (a_ijk) and that any permutation of the indices would give another semifield. In this article we explain the geometrical significance of these permutations. It is known that a pair of functions (f,g) where f and g are functions from GF(q) to GF(q) with the property that f and g are linear over some subfield and g(x)²+4xf(x) is a non-square for all x∈GF(q)∗, q odd, give rise to certain semifields, one of which is commutative of rank 2 over its middle nucleus, one of which arises from a semifield flock of the quadratic cone, and another that comes from a translation ovoid of Q(4,q). We show that there are in fact six non-isotopic semifields that can be constructed from such a pair of functions, which will give rise to six non-isomorphic semifield planes, unless (f,g) are of linear type or of Dickson-Kantor-Knuth type. These six semifields fall into two sets of three semifields related by Knuth operations.     

Degrevlex Gröbner bases of generic complete intersections

In this paper, we study the Hilbert–Samuel function of a generic standard graded K-algebra

K[X₁,…,X_n]/(g₁,…,g_m)

when refined by an (ℓ)-adic filtration, ℓ being a linear form. From this we obtain a structure theorem which describes the stairs of a generic complete intersection for the degree-reverse-lexicographic order. We show what this means for generic standard (or Gröbner) bases for this order; in particular, we consider an “orderly filling up” conjecture, and we propose a strategy for the standard basis algorithm which could be useful in generic-like cases.     

An analytical proof of Hardy-like inequalities related to the Dirac operator

We prove some sharp Hardy-type inequalities related to the Dirac operator by elementary, direct methods. Some of these inequalities have been obtained previously using spectral information about the Dirac-Coulomb operator. Our results are stated under optimal conditions on the asymptotics of the potentials near zero and near infinity.

We give a formula for the jump at zero of the spectral shift function associated with Schrödinger operator on manifolds with conical ends. We show that, according to its decay, a zero energy resonant state has a non-integer contribution.     

Inhibiting effects of some oxadiazole derivatives on the corrosion of mild steel in perchloric acid solution

The efficiency of 3,5-bis(n-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (n-POX, n = 1, 2, 3), as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel in 1 M perchloric acid (HClO₄) have been determined by weight loss measurements and electrochemical studies. The results show that these inhibitors revealed a good corrosion inhibition even at very low concentrations. Comparison of results among those obtained by the studied oxadiazoles shows that 3-POX was the best inhibitor. Polarisation curves indicate that n-pyridyl substituted-1,3,4-oxadiazoles are mixed type inhibitors in 1 M HClO₄. The adsorption of these inhibitors follows a Langmuir isotherm model. The electronic properties of n-POX, obtained using the AM1 semi-empirical quantum chemical approach, were correlated with their experimental efficiencies using the linear resistance model (LR).     

SHI induced modification in CR-39 polycarbonate by positron annihilation lifetime studies

CR-39 is a polycarbonate widely used as SSNTD for recording nuclear charged particles and in other applications. Latent ion tracks produced in the polymers due to the damage produced by the passage of Swift Heavy Ions contain amorphous material with highest degree of disorder, changing the free volume properties which have strong correlation with the macroscopic properties of the material. Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) provides direct information about the dimension, content and hole size distribution of free volume in polymers. The effect of irradiation of ⁴⁰Ar (14.9 MeV/n) ions on CR-39 polycarbonate by Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy (PALS) is reported here. PALS provides a non-destructive and non-interfering probe, having high detection efficiency for free volume hole properties. From o-Ps lifetime mean free volume hole radius and average free volume of the micro-voids have been calculated. PAL measurement shows an increase in free volume on irradiation.
